Noteworthy Composer is a wonderful shareware program, easy to learn, yet quite flexible and, at only $39, highly affordable. Evaluation copy and freeware readers are available from NoteworthySoftware.com

Some recordings were made on a Guillemot Home Studio Pro 64 Sound Card, using the stock sound fonts in addition to some very excellent Groovestyle sound fonts. While the sound quality from this card is reasonably good I do not recommend Guillemot because their product support is sorely deficient (imho).

Newer recordings were made using SynthFont, a highly recommended piece of donateware. SynthFont is a software synth that uses standard Sound Blaster^TMcompatible sound fonts and has tremendous flexibility for rendering midi files into very realistic sounding audio.

After upgrading to Windows X P I lost recording capability on my Guillemot Sound Card (Guillemot never updated the drivers for this card and so to retain full functionality you must use Windows 98 or 95!).

Audio overdubs are now done on a Fostex MR-8. The MR-8 is a great little digital multitrack recorder with full USB capacity for transferring files to and from the computer. It has become one of my favorite toys.
